I was wondering if you join the skrafty community what do they do their work and building on? Do they use a laptop?
Mrs. Hogan says
Our classroom build servers are located on the Minecraft game on either the Java (Windows/Mac) edition of Minecraft or the PE version (phone/tablets/Windows 10 app). We highly recommend accessing our server via the Java version as this venue includes many multiplayer games, players, and PC only content like our Tour of France.

Is Today Pixal Art? We Wrote It Down That Its Today. Is It?
nancy says
We noticed a great class, but the time is when we will be away from home. Can the class still be taken and use the recorded feature? Thank you.
Holly Syx says
Which class is it Nancy?
Ruth Lopez says
I am not sure this will work for my guy. Is there a refund period for your course?
Mrs. Hogan says
Hi Ruth,
Please email support@skrafty.com and let us know what his account information is and what course you are referring to and we’ll get you an answer 🙂

Is The Class Today?
Paul Butler says
Do you use the Minecraft Educational Edition for your server?
Mrs. Hogan says
Hi Paul, we do not utilize Minecraft Education Edition. Our server is a standard Minecraft PC Multiplayer server. You can purchase this game from https://minecraft.net/en/ for $26.95 USD.

It Pixal Art Today?
Andrea says
I have three kids, do I have to purchase Minecraft for each child?
Mrs. Hogan says
Hi Andrea!
When you purchase Minecraft you are actually purchasing an account with a unique username. This gives your player access to many of the games features, including multiplayer servers. What that means is if you have multiple players who want to use the game with their own personal username you will have to purchase a username for each student. For Skrafty server and Subscription purposes, your players may share one Minecraft account. They will each have their own Subscription account with a different username that shares the Minecraft PC username. (for instance – PlayerKen @skrafty and PlayerKim @skrafty share the Minecraft username KenandKimfam on Minecraft) We just ask that when they participate in their Minecraft build assignments that they place a sign beside their build so our admin that takes images of the builds for their portfolio if you wish to request one at the end of the school year.

Hi- do the Live classes have be done by the student Live? Or is it recorded to be able to watch later?
Holly Syx says
Hi there! They are recorded so they can watch them later if they have to miss. 🙂
anna r Kauffman says
I like the class, but I am don’t want my kid to start begging to do minecraft. How much focus is there on the minecraft aspect of the course?
Mrs. Hogan says
Great question! Our Minecraft Assignments are completely optional, but they should only take the student about 20 minutes to complete if they do participate. Some students would willingly spend hours on a Minecraft Assignment because they are very detailed and enjoy the build so much, but how much time you allow for each is up to you.

Is Pixal Art Today?
Alison Martin says
Are there any other live classes set up like the government class where the kids have to interact in the Minecraft server? Most of the classes we’ve taken have been basically individual Minecraft work (Although you can see everyone else’s work). My middle school age son is loving the more competitive nature of the government class though and I would definitely sign him up for more classes like that. Thanks!
Redraider2009 says
Are there any classes that my kid could have a scheduled time to play with other fellow minecrafters? If there isn’t try to make a class or something like a government class.
Mrs. Hogan says
We don’t have any courses of this type coming up in the near future, but students can organize in server meetups before or after their live class session (teachers generally give students a few minutes in the session to chat before and/or after their lesson time)
